Future Tenses

1. Future Simple

Complete the sentences with will or won't and the verb.

1. I think cars (fly) in the future.
2. Don't worry, I (not / tell) anyone your secret.
3. It's hot in here. I (open) the window.
4. She is sick, so she (not / go) to school tomorrow.
5. I promise I (help) you with your homework.
6. We (win) the football match, I am sure!
7. The robot (clean) the house for us.
8. I (not / be) late for the lesson.
9. Maybe we (visit) London next year.
10. I hope everything (be) okay.

2. Future Continuous

Use will be + verb-ing. E.g., will be sleeping.

1. At 5 PM tomorrow, I (watch) a film.
2. This time next week, we (fly) to Spain.
3. Don't call me at 8. I (have) dinner.
4. The boys (play) football in the park all day.
5. She (work) in the library tomorrow morning.
6. I (sleep) when you arrive.
7. We (study) English at this time tomorrow.
8. You (wait) for the bus when it rains.
9. The chef (cook) lunch at 1 o'clock.
10. They (dance) at the party all night.

3. Future Perfect

Use will have + past participle (3rd form). Look for "by".

1. By Monday, I (finish) my project.
2. She (arrive) home by 6 PM.
3. We (buy) the tickets by tomorrow.
4. By the time you wake up, I (leave).
5. He (write) the email by lunch.
6. They (clean) the room by the time we return.
7. I (read) the whole book by tonight.
8. The film (start) by the time we get there.
9. By 2030, robots (take) many jobs.
10. You (learn) a lot by the end of the year.

4. Future Perfect Continuous

Use will have been + verb-ing. Look for "for" and "by".

1. By 6 PM, I (work) for 8 hours.
2. Next year, we (live) here for 10 years.
3. She (sleep) for 12 hours by noon!
4. By the time he arrives, we (wait) for an hour.
5. I (study) English for 5 years by 2026.
6. By sunset, they (play) tennis for 3 hours.
7. My sister (dance) all morning by the time we stop.
8. He (drive) for 6 hours by the time he stops.
9. By next month, I (save) money for a year.
10. The rain (fall) for two days by tomorrow.

5. Mixed Tenses

Choose the correct tense based on the clue words (tomorrow, at 5 PM, by 5 PM, for 2 hours by 5 PM).

1. Look at those clouds! It (go to / rain).
2. "The phone is ringing." - "I (answer) it."
3. At 10 AM tomorrow, she (take) her exam.
4. By next Friday, we (finish) school.
5. In 2026, I (learn) piano for 10 years.
6. I promise I (not / be) late again.
7. Don't phone me at 7 AM. I (sleep).
8. By the time you get home, dinner (be) ready.
9. Perhaps I (see) you tomorrow.
10. By 4 PM, he (run) for two hours.
